A Level of Customer Service Rarely Seen May 24, 2026

Stephen Trimmer came out for a scheduled HVAC maintenance visit on Friday, 5/22, and while he was in my crawl space discovered that my hot water heater had ruptured. He immediately informed me of the situation and even called his plumbing dept to have someone come out as soon as possible to assess and get me a quote. Mark Loving called me 20 minutes later and told me he was headed my way. In less than 30 minutes, Mark had given me a price, found the water heater, and had scheduled it to be installed that same day (I live in a smaller, older house and the water heater is located in the crawl space under the house. Those types of heaters can sometimes be difficult to find and most likely have to be ordered). Justin Robertson and his assistant arrived that afternoon to install. Installation only took 2 hours. Everyone was super professional and super helpful. If not for Stephen, I would not have even known I had a problem. And the way everyone on the Woodfin Team understood that this was an emergency situation given that it was the Friday before Memorial Day exhibits a level of customer service rarely seen now. I am grateful for all their help! I have definitely become a loyal customer.

The tech was personable and even waited on me upon arrival to show him. The issue was very thorough in cleaning the unit and even suggested how to care for it from a maintenance perspective to prevent the issue again.

Woodfin has once again shown us why their rating is so high. Our old HVAC unit was 20 years old, and we wasted time and money every year trying to patch it up. During the most recent uncomfortable heat wave, we decided it was time to replace. We compared several companies. We spoke to Josh in sales; he found us an affordable, more efficient model with a good warranty. Johnny, Amari, and Greg installed it without issue (fast, but not rushed). My team from Woodfin was awesome. They were prompt, clean, and very professional. They showed up right on time and ready to work. The power was supposed to be off for 4 to 6 hours, and 2 hours later it was back on and they were packing up to leave. Shout out to David Newhouse, who, upon being asked, dug a large portion of the gas trench by hand to avoid cutting any irrigation lines. But, due to Miss Utility not marking my cable line, it did get cut. David was on the phone to Woodfin, and Verizon had me a new cable line hooked up before the last Woodfin truck was packed and gone. With that type of service, I look forward to a long relationship with "My New Home Team, WOODFIN"!

Rodney Russell came out when he was scheduled, called to let me know he was on the way, was super kind and knowledgeable, and got the work done quickly. Rodney did an excellent job repairing my outdoor spigots and installing a quarter-turn interior main shutoff. He didn't upsell me... instead of replacing both spigots, one got rebuilt and one got the correct bracket installed. No better compliment than to trust the person doing the work and believe they aren't trying to rip you off. The service was expensive, but that is plumbing for you, and I certainly don't blame Rodney for that!

I guess Dylan is the young man I spoke to on the phone when I called in, and he was great and very helpful. Tech was supposed to be here between 12:30 and 4:30, and I had not seen nor heard from them, and once past 5 I assumed that they were not going to be here today. To their credit, I got a call at 5:30, and he was here by 5:45 and took care of us, so I've edited the review to reflect that.
